Anime「My Dress-Up Darling 」「Kisekoi」「real life location for an anime」 in saitama iwatsuki

In this blog post, I visited Iwatsuki, Saitama Prefecture, the setting for 「My Dress-Up Darling」."Iwatsuki is famous as the "town of dolls," and if you visit, you can take a stroll around the town, visiting doll shops and experiencing doll culture.
It's about a 1 hour and 20 minute train ride from 「Tokyo Station」.

As soon as I got off the train, I was greeted by a scene from the anime!!
Yes, the station is the same place where 「Marin Kitagawa」 makes her appearance! It looked familiar, so I was immediately moved!

At the station, I found a plaque and commemorative stamp announcing that it was selected as one of the
「88 Anime real-life location for an anime in Japan You Want to Visit, 2025 Edition」!
I decided to get the stamp since I was there.
By the way, these 88 selections are apparently announced every year to further promote Japanese anime that is popular around the world.
So, "My Dress-Up Darling" has been an excellent choice! Congratulations!

When I looked at the stairs at the station, I saw pictures of dolls on the stairs! It has nothing to do with the scene in the anime,
but I was impressed that it is truly a "town of dolls."

Now, let's start by walking through the locations that served as the route Kitagawa Marin and Gojo Wakana took to school.
There was a scene where they sent Marin off.
We've looked at three locations so please take a look.

Then I headed to Gojo Doll Shop, but it's a bit far to walk... but it's not impossible to get there. And then I discovered it!! The atmosphere is just as it was!! Even the faded colors of the letters and signs had the same feel.

Afterwards, as I was walking back to the station, I discovered a shop that "My Dress-Up Darling" fans frequent.
Just inside the entrance, there was a bookstore and a coffee shop.
There was "My Dress-Up Darling" character goods and a "real-life location for an anime notebook" where visiting fans write their names.
Looking at the notebook, I saw that fans had written about their joy at visiting, so I immediately wrote one as well as a memento.
Then I found a framed reproduction of the original artwork. And it was signed!!
This got me excited again.

It took roughly three hours to get here.
I got a little lost at the beginning, so I think I could have gotten around more efficiently if I had thought about the order in which I went.
"My Dress-Up Darling" is also set in another location, so I'd like to go there if I get the chance.

Anilife's Shopify store also sells figures of Kitagawa Marin from "My Dress-Up Darling."
Please feel free to purchase some if you'd like. Anyone who purchases "My Dress-Up Darling" merchandise will also receive a commemorative card with a stamp from the trip.
We hope you'll feel like you're actually there.

If you would like to visit this place in person, we can also provide tour guides at a low cost. The tour takes approximately two hours from Iwatsuki Station. The minimum number of participants is two. We will also take commemorative photos and get stamps.

Please contact us using the inquiry form for more details. Thank you for your consideration.

I wonder where I should go next?
